Ume and citrus forward and fruitiest of the Sakaki range, the addition of floral elements accentuates the subtlety of persimmon leaf and honey bush. Along with strong base spice notes, the resultant finish lingers in a cohesive and complex blend of authentic Japanese flavours.
Distillery: Kishu Kimono Distillery
Sakaki Gin comes from the Kishu Kumano Distillery in Wakayama. Based along the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage trail, its unique range is inspired by the forest.
Allspice, Bay Leaf, Caraway, Cinnamon, Clove, Coriander Seed, Fig, Ginger, Honey Bush, Jabara, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Persimmon leaf, Mikan, Sakaki, Sanpokan, Sansho, Star Anise, Sudachi, Ume, Ume Liqueur, Wasabi, Yoshino Cedar, Yuzu
Jabara: similar to yuzu in profile but with a peppery fragrance.

Sakaki – Japanese evergreen tree. Imparts a light, grassy note to gin
Sanpokan: Japanese citrus similar to a mandarin
Sansho– Japanese Pepper
Sudachi – Japanese citrus which tastes similar to combination of sour orange and grapefruit
Ume– Japanese Plum
Yoshino – Japanese cedar
Yuzu – Tart citrus reminiscent of grapefruit and bergamot
